The Educational and Social Studies Institute of the Foundation is composed of the Departments of Research, Training, and the Area of Publications

The Foundation specializes in the actualization of interdisciplinary studies, and finds value in diverse sensibilities that focus on education by referencing the strategic objectives that the European Union hopes to achieve through systems of education and training.

Research

The Research Department conducts legal, political, educational, economical and sociological studies, providing spaces for discussion, analysis, training and consultancy for both public and private institutions and bodies at a local and international level.

Training

The training programs, designed from a cross-disciplinary point of view by the Training and Educational Consultancy Department according to a practical approach and a wide range of recipients, are adapted to the requirements demanded by the European goals and share the exchange of experiences and good practices.

Publications

The Department of Publications is responsible for distibuting the research projects conducted by the Educational and Social Studies Institute by editing reports, working and conference papers, and seminars by experts at an international level.

About the Institute

Under the principles of rigorous and foundational research, its principal task is to offer analysis and proposals that contribute to the decision-making process of managers and promoters of public policies in areas of education and training. The Institute promotes opportunities for reflection by private and public institutions as well as regional, national, and international organizations and entities. Additionally, the Institute creates an open and pluralistic forum by facilitating the relationship between educative administrations and citizens; building bridges between centres of knowledge and society, and participating actively in socioeducative debate and dialogue.

The projects of the Institute include the formulation and execution of investigative projects, seminars, symposia, conferences and congresses, the offering of specific training programs, scientific production through publications, working papers and reports, and the creation of networks of national experts and international exchange of experience, coordination of research, and innovation in socioeducative activities.
