Educational Quality and Innovation Research

The general objective of improving the quality of teaching has become necessary for those in charge of the management and administration of all educational services.

Projects of reference
  • Technical consulting for the development of the Multilingual Education Framework project of the Basque Government.
  • Model of adding value for the diagnostic evaluations of the 4th of Primary and the 2nd of  Obligatory Secondary Education.
  • Models of data exploitation and optimization of appropriate analyses of diagnostic evaluations.
  • Development of a White Paper on the development of strategies to evaluate education.
  • Study on high dropout rates on the Balearic Islands.

 

Data is consistently more abundant concerning the evolution of teaching indicators and their effect on school performance, supplied by international actors of evaluation and measurement. At the same time, the demands from citizens with respect to the quality of service, the transparency of results, and the efficiency of administration of economic resources and accountability makes a permanent revision of educational policy necessary.

 

Objectives

Among the objectives of the Institute is the priority of supplying those responsible for administering education with proposals that attend to the needs identified by those in charge of the design and implementation of educational policy and for its adaptation to the specific characteristics of the Autonomous Community. A  line of analysis focused on quality and innovation is made available which strives to provide, among other services, a comprehensive counsel and a system for the development, betterment and analysis of the policies and instruments utilized for educational evaluation.
